JimDesmondSanMarcos.org enables users to contribute to the Jim Desmond for Mayor campaign. In so doing, JimDesmondSanMarcos.org collects necessary information in order to process transactions securely and comply with election contribution reporting requirements dictated by state law.

JimDesmondSanMarcos.org also enables supporters to voluntarily sign up to get involved with the effort to elect Jim Desmond. Information collected in this capacity will be held for campaign purposes only and will be held securely by the campaign. JimDesmondSanMarcos.org will not collect any individual information without your knowledge.

Personal information such as name, address, occupation and employer are required by state law. We are committed to making sure your information is secure. JimDesmondSanMarcos.org has put in place appropriate safeguards to secure information collected online. 

Contributions to Jim Desmond for Mayor are not tax deductible. Foreign nationals are prohibited from making contributions to this committee, unless they have permanent residency status in the United States of America (a Green Card).

Contributions are limited to $250 from a single source. Spouses may each give $250 by separate checks, credit card transactions, or internet donations. Donations from businesses are not allowed by law and will not be accepted. Jim Desmond is a candidate for San Marcos Mayor November 2006.
